Baby Room (0-2 years)
Baby Room (0-2 years)

Our Baby room is designed to be a home from home, warm, cosy environment for our young babies which promotes a loving and caring family atmosphere. We always have a lovely day with various individually planned opportunities to give all of our babies the best early experiences and best start in life.
Sand and water play are excellent sensory opportunities.
Singing and looking at books help to develop early language skills, both speaking and listening.
We access the outdoors regularly through playing in the nursery garden and going on community visits using our 6-seater turtle bus and/or our double buggies.
All babies follow their own individual routine – there are no set sleeping times or meal times at this age.
Every baby is assigned a key worker when they start at the setting. The baby room has 3 full-time members of staff and 1 part-time member of staff, all of whom have many years experience and are mothers themselves.
Toddler Room (2 - 3 years)
Toddler Room (2 - 3 years)
At this age children are beginning to play with each other making up games, rather than just alongside one another. They are rapidly developing now, both socially and intellectually.
This room enables children to take part in lots of group activities as well as individual ones. Our children love playing on the computer and are learning colours and shapes etc.
Dressing up clothes and outdoor play allow children to express themselves fully. Children are learning to use the toilet and take pride in washing their own hands in the low level sinks.
Pre-school

Pre-school

Our Pre-School is run on the adult to child ratio of 1:8. We believe this is essential in ensuring all pre-school children get the right time and support from the adult, giving them the best possible start before they start school. We pride ourselves on the fact that our pre-school only has 18 children attending during any one session. This enables our children to form firm friendships within their peer group.
Promoting confidence, self-esteem and independence is what we aim for all children to achieve, as well as much more! This room is designed specifically to further all of these qualities in all of our children.
There are separate areas around the room for activities such as reading, writing, role-play, science, creativity etc. These enable children to fully learn and discover for themselves, with the appropriate amount of adult intervention and encouragement where needed. Children are able to make their own choices throughout the day, as well as take part in specifically planned activities, to enable them to achieve their full potential in preparation for starting school.
Our pre-school children have regular access to the outdoors environment throughout their nursery day. We have very good relationships with the local primary schools and work very closely with them when it comes to the time for your child to leave for big school.
Activities include: computer work, story acting, PE sessions and music. Extra learning opportunities often include visiting local places out and about, such as the fire station, post box, greengrocers, library etc. Parents/carers are invited to attend our regular stay and play sessions with their child.
